Veg Out, St Kilda - Accessible Bathroom Upgrade
In the shadows of Luna Park, this project for the City of Port Phillip in the heart of St Kilda involved of a complete strip out and refurbishment of the public toilets in the Vegout Community Gardens.
Restricted by the footprint of the old male and female toilets, the upgraded toilets better utilise space, allowing for an additional accessible (disabled) toilet, as well as ambulant cubicles in the male and female toilets.
The works included the installation of compact laminate toilet partitions, anti-slip epoxy flooring, "no touch" sensor taps to all handwash basins and a new concrete footpath to allow wheelchair users easier access to the toilets.
